A new era for meal cards

Key findings

1. Asked for their preference, 66% chose a meal card, 19% cash and 11% a canteen; 3% had no preference.
2. Of those preferring cash, 76% would spend it on groceries, 59% on personal needs and 43% on transport.
3. Cards are loaded with TRY 1,098 a month on average; those paid in cash receive TRY 1,430 (October 2022).
4. Half of employees find the card balance insufficient; the average requested limit is TRY 1,688.
5. Sodexo is the most used card (28%), followed by MultiNet (21%), Yemekmatik (17%) and Ticket Restaurant (13%).
6. Yemekmatik has the highest user satisfaction (78%), followed by Ticket Restaurant and Sodexo.
7. The range of supermarkets accepting the card is the most important feature; a quarter of employees want to use it outside working hours.
